EEE – Lab Facilities
ELECTRIC CIRCUITS LABORATORY
This laboratory helps the students regarding the investigation of Ohm’s Law, Kirchhoff’s Laws, voltage and current division, mesh and nodal analysis, Thevenin and Norton equivalents, superposition, simple RL, RC, RLC circuits, phasors. Use of voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters and oscilloscopes. Identification of unknown elements. For infrastructural detail
ELECTRICAL MACHINES LABORATORY
This lab is purposely designed to teach the aspects of electrical machines. This laboratory is equipped with various electrical machines such as DC motors( Series motor, Shunt motor), DC generators( Series generator, Shunt generators), AC three phase motors (Induction motors, Synchronous motors), Alternators ( Salient pole type and Cylindrical rotor type), single phase and three phase Transformers. Through hands-on experiments with real machines, students gain practical experience on transformers and various types of machine drives. The laboratory can also be used for project work related to electrical machines and energy conversion. For infrastructural detail
MEASUREMENTS AND INSTRUMENTATION LABORATORY
This laboratory helps the students to get a work experience of Measuring different Physical, Mechanical, Electrical , Optical quantities by using various Instruments such as Transducers,Sensors , Electrical and Electronic instruments. This laboratory gives an industrial exposure of monitoring a process or a operation by using an instrument. For infrastructural detail
CONTROL SYSTEM LABORATORY
The Control Systems Laboratory in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering provides facilities for the students to do experiments for the non-ideal conditions that are often present in real-world applications. The lab has DC & AC machine speed control unit, Stepper motor unit, Type 0,1,2 trainer kit, Phase lead and lag compensator, AC and DC position control trainer and PID controller kit. It is also integrated with system, that has MATLAB and SIMULINK design tools, which can be used to design control systems that can then be implemented in the hardware. For infrastructural detail
POWER ELECTRONICS LABORATORY
This laboratory introduces the student to measurement and simulation of important operating characteristics of power electronic circuits and power semiconductor devices. Emphasis is on devices, circuits, gating methods and power quality. The laboratory work involves control of power electronics converters including DC-DC, DC-AC, and AC-DC converters.
