The Mechanical Engineering department was started in the year 2008 with an intake of 60 students. The department is powered by highly equipped state-of-art laboratories and highly qualified faculty members under graduate and post-graduate programmes. The department of Mechanical Engineering also offers a Master of Engineering programme in Engineering Design with an annual intake of 18 students. The Department of Mechanical Engineering provides a pavement to do research work and has been recognized as a research centre by Anna University from 2014 onwards.

We aim to provide our students with becoming effective leaders and globally competent with a perfect blend of intellectual and practical exposure to succeed in their life and career. Guest lectures and industrial visits are periodically arranged for the students to enrich their knowledge. The facilities are provided for doing online certification courses like NPTEL and SWAYAM.
